SOUNDTRACK FOR INVINCIBLE FORCE ANNOUNCED

Extreme movie to feature extreme music (SERBERUS, MAVETH, MEHRINGER).

INVINCIBLE FORCE, the new conceptual tape movie (VHS, Betamax, etc.) from Sepulchral Voice Productions (SEEKING WELLNESS) will feature an original score from gifted electronic composer, surrealist filmmaker and resident of Minnesota Talissa Mehringer who describes her contribution as “both dense and gritty, a bit atmospheric, and overall pretty intense and ominous. I layered textures, drums and synths to create a sort of thick soundscape intended to evoke a sense of anxiety.”

“It seems that the prevailing trend in independent cinema is to accompany narratives with soundtracks made-up of lousy watered-down indie pop music. We thought it would be interesting to go in the opposite direction and comprise our soundtrack entirely of filthy industrial, brutal death metal and over-the-top house techno music, the kind of soundtrack that will rip your fucking face off,” remarked multi-award winning director Dan S when asked about his unconventional music choices. “This music has passion and energy and strength and so does INVINCIBLE FORCE. The aggressive music we have chosen fits the story of INVINCIBLE FORCE perfectly and even though it might not be particularly marketable or palatable for some audiences we wouldn’t have it any other way.”

The soundtrack of INVINCIBLE FORCE also includes songs from death metal legends SERBERUS (U.S.) of Denver, Colorado who disbanded in 2001 leaving behind only two rare E.P.s and a crushing full length entitled ‘Descension’ that is considered by many to be the last great true melodic death metal record. More extreme brutality comes from the infamous and elite Finnish blackened death quartet known as MAVETH (featuring ex-members of Dethroned, Excommunion, Wounded Ways, etc).

And no movie about physical fitness would be complete without oppressive dance beats; INVINCIBLE FORCE features an original track entitled ‘Let’s Do It’ by underground dubstep/drumstep star and electro DJ Steven Klingler (a.k.a. Kid Vicious) and several highly motivational tracks from up-and-coming beat master Aaron Arel.

INVINCIBLE FORCE is a detailed chronicle of one man’s battle against his own body. Captured during 90 consecutive days with a budget of zero, INVINCIBLE FORCE meticulously documents its subject’s incredible transformation from slovenly man-child to infallible titan. Requests for press screeners of INVINCIBLE FORCE, interviews, festival invitations/waivers are now being accepted - will be honored on a limited and discretionary basis. ###

ACTOR MAKES EXTREME 90 DAY SACRIFICE FOR NEW CONCEPTUAL FEATURE

Drew Ailes forever changed by INVINCIBLE FORCE

“My body is finally healing but there are parts of me that will never be the same”, says Drew Ailes, an actor and resident of Minneapolis, Minnesota who recently completed a grueling ninety day shoot for INVINCIBLE FORCE, a movie that required him to make dramatic and potentially permanent modifications to his body and psyche. “When I look in the mirror I see a stranger, it’s kind of terrifying.”

INVINCIBLE FORCE was shot for ninety consecutive days from August 29th, 2010 until November 26th, 2010 and during this period Drew Ailes lost a total of 35lbs (about 16kg) and his body mass index went from 0.27 to 0.085, “It’s strange to have the best body I’ve ever had, to be physically stronger than I have ever been but to feel so much internal chaos. I look healthier than ever but since we finished shooting I’ve actually had some trouble functioning normally. This ordeal has caused me a lot of psychological turmoil but as an actor I know it’s worthwhile. This is a remarkable project and once in a lifetime opportunity and I’m very proud of what I have done.”

“The transformation Drew made for INVINCIBLE FORCE is absolutely incredible and we are grateful for his sacrifice. Together we have created something truly unique and astonishing,” said award winning director Dan S (SEEKING WELLNESS).

INVINCIBLE FORCE follows its subject (Drew Ailes) for 90 consecutive days as he documents an incredible transformation of body, mind and spirit. Drew begins his journey as a lazy worthless shell of a man but through physical fitness and extreme dedication Drew is able to build a new, more powerful self. INVINCIBLE FORCE was made with a budget of zero using only equipment, media, props, wardrobe and locations that were found, borrowed or stolen. INVINCIBLE FORCE was carefully scripted and stylized but the stunning transformation of body and character it captures is entirely real.

Public exhibitions of INVINCIBLE FORCE will begin in spring and summer of 2011 at select film festivals. Drew Ailes will be present at most screenings.

NEW FEATURE FROM AWARD WINNING FILMMAKER DANIEL SCHNEIDKRAUT

INVINCIBLE FORCE documents one man's incredible transformation from slovenly man-child to infallible titan. Schneidkraut says, “I'm constantly bewildered by humanity and our irrational compulsion towards cycles of useless bestial behavior and Invincible Force is a product of that bewilderment.”

Internationally renowned writer/director Dan Schneidkraut uses 8 different cameras in the making of video feature, INVINCIBLE FORCE, “The language of film is dying and being replaced by the language of technology, so, in a deliberate act of defiance I’ve acquired a pile of obsolete video cameras and invented a language of my own."

2010 McKnight fellow, Dan Schneidkraut, director of the award winning experimental movie SEEKING WELLNESS, finishes a no budget feature over 90 consecutive days. He says, “High budgets have become a crutch for people with no vision. Most modern filmmakers rely too heavily on production value and visual gimmicks while completely ignoring the importance of strong character, story and real creative visual innovation. I had to make INVINCIBLE FORCE because I don't think anyone else would.”###
